OpenFin's New Look

Chuck Doerr and I started OpenFin 7.5 years ago with a mission to provide an open platform for financial apps. After we got our seed money, we hired a wonderful designer who created the first OpenFin logo. As our designer moved on to other projects, she said to me, “I’m ok if you change the website, but please promise me you won’t change the logo.” We stayed true to that for the last 7 years, but now it’s time for a change.
As OpenFin has grown, now with hundreds of apps running on the platform for the largest financial institutions in the world, our focus has evolved from providing a toolkit to enabling an entire ecosystem. Our customers’ investment in innovation is the fuel that is driving adoption of OpenFin OS. And interoperability has become core to our mission of openness. We want our brand to reflect this evolution and our commitment to innovation and interoperability.
We’re excited to share our new look and our new logo with you which you can find on our website at https://openfin.co. Our new icon represents both “interoperability” (four connected nodes) and “openness” (the open circular shape). We went with purple in a nod to innovation and giving our brand more personality. Our new website has been updated to better explain what we do and to also feature some of the apps of the amazing companies who have put their trust in us by building on our platform.
We hope you feel as we do that the new brand does justice to our mission as an enabler of openness, innovation, and interoperability in the financial industry. We’ve come a long way in the past 7.5 years, but we feel we’re only just getting started with a lot of exciting things planned for 2018. We greatly appreciate your continued support as we enter this new chapter in our company’s growth.
Mazy Dar,
CEO
